Dan Cox Company, Inc. was formed on Dec. 1, 1973 as a service & sales business for industrial controls and instrumentation. In November of 1989, Dan Cox Company, Inc. sold to Eclipse, Inc. and became known as Eclipse Thermal Systems-Dallas, with Dan serving as Regional Sales Manager.

In 2001, Dan had the opportunity to go back in business as a manufactures' representative for several major industrial combustion and control lines, so Dan Cox & Associates, Inc. was formed on February 14, 2001.

In June of 2004, Dan Cox & Associates, Inc. acquired ADI Instruments, Inc. and became the manufactures' representative for Pyromation, Inc. The corporation was amended on July 15, 2004 to reflect the name change to: Dan Cox & Associates/ADI Instruments, Inc.
